Also, polycondensation reactions of phenols with phthalic anhydride were carried out in the presence of cobalt hydrogensulphate under solvent-free conditions. Simple and convenient procedure, high conversion, reusability of catalyst, easy purification and short reaction time are the advantageous features of this method.
